On Thursday, Lizzie arrived at the train station in Vancouver, BC, Canada. It was foggy, a circumstance that was to prevail for most of her visit. BC is very beautiful, but only when one can see it!
The Circus welcomed Lizzie with open paws!
Lizzie, on her part, was somewhat bemused, fascinated & horrified by the amount of snow still resident on our street (as are we) . . . .
Friday, we all woke up to -- guess what? FOG!
Lizzie and I planned an agenda of things to see & do, a frustrating occupation because many really interesting & entertaining places were closed for the winter or closed for construction or just plain closed.
Then we looked at Lizzie's boots. Lizzie arrived wearing the most gorgeous pair of suede knee boots. They had smooth soles and were way too nice (and too slippery) to wear just about anywhere in our area at the moment. We added a trip to the shoe store to our agenda . . . .
Plans made, we then trotted outside (in the fog) to take some photos of the dogs I needed for the SENIOR AIREDALES FUNDRAISER, which can be seen HERE. Lizzie proved to be very adept at helping with this task with the result that a number of really nice, albeit slightly misty, pictures were taken.
After our brief shopping trip, the remainder of the day was spent eating and drinking and chatting - perfect activities for a foggy, cold day in mid-winter.
