OK - back to Chicago . . .
with one very important detour to make . . . .
drumroll . . .
to Kenosha, Wisconsin to make a whistle stop with
Andréa & the Skreninnger Six-Pack.
Once again, Daisy2Legs made sure that she got the king position.
I even woke up the next morning to her snuggling up to me.
The evening was made memorable by Andréa
introducing me to Applebees (the best chain restaurant
I've sampled in the US so far) & their pomegranate margueritas.
Margueritas are my favourite drink (alcoholic);
I'm a bit of a traditionalist too . . .
none of this extra fruit for me, so I was a bit skeptical . . .
but they were fantastic. My only regret is that I didn't
find any Applebees in Chicago or Connecticut.
My departure from Kenosha was a bit hurried,
as I had to get my hire car back,
but just as I was about to head off . . . . visitors arrived:
Chuck Rusk & Andy (who has got to be one of THE
classically-handsomest Airedale boys wot I have ever met . . .
I mean, if he'd been that good-looking a human,
I'd have taken him home with me!
Chuck, Andy, Andréa & Daisy

I'm afraid the pics don't do any of us justice,
but just remember two things:
1) it was 8.30 Saturday morning; and
2) my grandmother always said that the
best-looking people take the worst pictures!
