Sandy had her initial vet visit and we're discovering more about what her past life must have been like. This little girl was almost certainly a puppymill dog. Dr. Kolder, the vet, said the mammary glands have milk in them and her privates are very swollen. At sometime she has had a caeserean section, evidenced by old scars on her belly. Her teeth are worn in places where she has likely chewed on a wire cage. Dr. Kolder puts her age at between five and seven years.

She is borderline for Addisons with an elevated sodium potassium level and her thyroid is very low. She'll start on thyroid medication today.
