Click on Jacopo's picture to do a puzzle

When we got home, there was a message from the vet to say
don't be too alarmed by the red -
he is an old dog with horrible infections in his mouth and
the infections are more problematic than his blood work right now.
I will talk to the vet Monday to get a full evaluation,
but he said surgery is ok to do.
He also wanted to help Jacopo with his bad arthritis as it is bothering him -
are you ok with Rimadyl? I know some people stay clear of it,
but I have never had problems and just check the blood once in a while.
After talking to the vet yesterday and seeing the pus in Jacopo's mouth,
I am really inclined to have my vet do the dental work and look at the infections.
It is going to be higher than the shelter,
but they are more for more straightforward dentals
than what is going on with this boy. The vet was quite upset at Jacopo's mouth;
I want to schedule this as soon as possible.
Jacopo is puttering around in the garden with John now;
the snow is going away.
I need to trim his bangs, but this boy does not like to be messed with;
he doesn't get nasty, he just won't stay still.
NEAL SKRENES:
Looks pretty comfy there. Yes, when they haven't been touched or loved on much in their lives, they don't realize what's missing.
That, too, will improve with time. We have seen it happen with many of our fosters.
