Gayle writes: Dixie is wonderful, she is feeling so good, running, bright-eyed; only experiencing pain occasionally and you can tell when it hits. Dr says she is all healed, no more e-collar, but we will on & off because when she scratches, she really scratches. Anyway, he told me what we need to clean her with ears and he is ordering some for us, anti-fungal wipe-it-type pad. She will never have another ear infection; we will not need to clean her ears since she no longer has the lateral canal. Just use the wipe once a week to keep the areas of the ear clean. Now that we're home, bathed, settled and fed, All nicely tucked in our warm new beds. We'd like to open our baggage Lest we forget, There is so much to carry - So much to regret. Hmm . . . Yes there it is, right on the top - Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss, And there by our leashes hide Fear and Shame. As I look on these things we tried so hard to leave - We still have to unpack our baggage called Pain. We loved them, the others, the ones who left us, But we weren't good enough - for they didn't want us. Will you add to our baggage? Will you help us unpack? Or will you just look at our things And take us right back? Do you have the time to help us unpack? To put away our baggage, To never re-pack?
