CALI (f/k/a LEXI) AT HOME 3 FEBRUARY 2010

The Jones Family writes: Cali is growing by leaps & bounds in body & spirit. She is a very very smart pup. She already listens to commands like sit, give paw, down, GET IN THE HOUSE NOW (a very common saying here daily). She only does these things for me all the time; the rest of the family - on a so-so basis). When she is in her yard, she is a nut case. She hops around, which is very funny. She spins around after things she sees. She still loves the snow. I can't believe how much she loves snow. She grabs snow balls and tosses them up, catches them and runs around; then does it over & over. She now weighs just over 12 pounds. She is potty-trained. Loves walks and playing catch. She still has her two top fang baby teeth, as well as her adult fangs; I hope they come out soon they are very very sharp and really hurt.

Now that I'm home, bathed, settled and fed, All nicely tucked in my warm new bed. I'd like to open my baggage Lest I forget, There is so much to carry - So much to regret. Hmm . . . Yes there it is, right on the top - Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss, And there by my leash hide Fear and Shame. As I look on these things I tried so hard to leave - I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain. I loved them, the others, the ones who left me, But I wasn't good enough - for they didn't want me. Will you add to my baggage? Will you help me unpack? Or will you just look at my things And take me right back? Do you have the time to help me unpack? To put away my baggage, To never re-pack?
