PEG EMOND'S STORY A little about my maiden voyage as a transporter: I met Jenny Hansen & her boyfriend, Jason, in New Buffalo. They are such a great couple! They brought their little guy, Bruce, along for the ride. Friday & Rockie seemed to be enjoying the trip. We loaded them up into my car, ready to hit the road. As I was leaving MickeyD's, a young man who worked there backed out of his parking place into my car! I had honked at him three times! Must have had french fries in his ears! The babies & I were fine. Thank heavens for Tupperware® bumpers! After filing a police report, Friday, Rockie & I were on the road. We met Jen Guthrie in Portage, where "Ms Noah's Ark" had just purchased two rats! Will Jen ever have enough 'kids'? I doubt it. Jen took Friday and headed for Danielle's. Rockie & I headed for Grand Rapids to Al & Janet Sheffield. They even made a big "WELCOME ROCKIE" sign for the garage door! After a meet & greet with their dog Charlie, . . . . . . we moved into their beautiful back yard. Freedom for Rockie!! He was in paradise! Charlie showed Rockie around the yard, watering everything in sight. Al & Janet were amazed at Rockie's easy entry into their lives & hearts; a perfect place for Rockie to learn what a loving home is. I swear he was smiling . . . he had a home.
