Holly Crotty left early Sunday a.m. for Waynesville, Missouri to pick up five-year-old Daisy Mae as well as Trotter, a little pup that was given up by his owner.

Also on the transport were a Peke (Charlie) & a Chin (Sumi Sparkles), whom we transported for Peke/Chin Rescue out of Minnesota.

Daisy Mae was surrendered to CRUSA by a breeder and is the sister to Mildred [of THE PADDY WAGGIN'], who was adopted about a month ago.
Tracy holds Daisy Mae
Daisy Mae is being fostered by Tracy Habenicht of Plainfield, who previously fostered Snickers & Sophie [of THE TRES DE MAYO].

By the way, Tracy has become an ardent "stop puppy mills" campaigner; she participated in a protest last Saturday, 16 June, outside the "Happiness is Puppies" pet shop in Warrenville, Illinois. Tracy is pleased to report that very few people ventured into the shop while she & her group were there; those few people who did go in came out empty-handed. Tracy's bumper sticker on her car features her previous foster dog, Sophie, a retired breeder from Missouri.

on 29 July . . . read all about it HERE, and plan to join us, too!]
