JONAS & JIMMY COME TO CRUSA 8 AUGUST 2009
Gayle writes: These two eight-week-old males were dropped off by someone who told Dr Tolliver that the breeder was going to kill them so she took them . . . that is all we know about them. They arrived in Peoria via Jackie Stidham, who brought them from Waynesville, Missouri, meeting Don & Susy Cody, who drove them to Springfield the next day. At that point, Geri Marion & family met Bob & Gayle in Emden, Illinois and the boys stayed overnight with Bob & Gayle. Chris Stoughton was in Peoria to welcome their new grandson, Gabrielle, so he picked up the boys this morning and headed north. Laura Peters of the Chicago burbs is fostering the boys.

Jimmy has a corneal ulcer which we have no information on until he sees the CRUSA vet in Laura's area. We are applying ointment as per Dr Tolliver. He is definitely the runt of the litter, I would say, but quite the little fighter. Don & Susy Cody who have recently stepped up to drive for CRUSA. They are a HUGE help since there are so few of us from central Illinois south. Jackie writes; Jonas & Jimmy were so cute. They were only rowdy for a short time. I had Nylabones® for them to chew on and Buffy (my Cairn) "talked" to them several times on the trip to St Louis. I think Buf is getting better about the transports. She didn't seem as nervous as last time. I always think that she's thinking we will give her away, too, but Saturday she did very well . . . she was exhausted when we got home . . . too much watching over the puppies.
