KOBY AT THE
15 JULY 2009

I have Koby while Lynne is in London. He was still shy when she dropped him off and while I had company and lots of loud noises, he seemed to get better. BUT, this morning, I heard a weird noise and looked up and there was Koby with a water bottle. He was playing with it and running around (sorry - too quick for pic), but then he just started playing. FIRST TIME, since he'd been here. I started crying.
As of now, I have matched Koby to a couple in Lexington, Kentucky. When I saw the app, I called to tell them that Koby was here with me in Richmond and the first words she said were: "It's meant to be". I invited them to my home and they came that night. I told them he was still shy and would need a lot of time & patience. Her 10-year-old daughter talked about him the whole way home, Jane said. The references are completed and I'll be doing the home visit. So he may have a home.
He's such a handsome boy and really a love.
Later that day:
He's starting to "feel his oats", I'm on the computer, I hear a tearing noise . . . I think, hmmm, what's that?? I walk toward the noise and see Koby tearing up a book that he'd gotten from my hearth. Martha, I think it's one you loaned me. SORRY!
You know I can't get angry at him;
On 16 July:
Koby has been approved to be a foster to adopt.
BTW, just found out, he likes to chase birds.
