ROXY (f/k/a) MOLLY GOES HOME
(REALLY)

14 AUGUST 2009

June's

Our meeting on the floor in Jessica & Jimmy's home.
Baxter is their Cairn and our shy Molly is in the background.

On 18 August, Nora writes:

She is here!!!! We went to Nashville the end of last week and brought back the cutest little pup. She only weighs 12 pounds. (Dollie weighs 16 and Khaki weighs in around 21!)

June's

Foster mom Jessica & me, just before we left.
I know it had to be hard to give Molly to us.
This was Jessica & Jimmy's
first foster and they did a great job.

The foster family was so kind to us. They cooked hamburgers the night we arrived so we could spend time with her and with them. The next morning we picked her up for the drive back (they did that so we wouldn't have to search for a pet-friendly hotel).

Dave & I, getting ready to load Molly up for the trip back to Mississippi

June's

Molly loved riding by Dave on the way home

Molly (we are going to change her name; we just haven't settled on one yet) loves to be near us but is very shy and skittish with new people and new things. I think time around Dollie, Khaki & us will help that a lot. I can't wait until we are in some kind of routine. Right now, I seem to be working full time trying to make sure Molly feels at home and that Dollie & Khaki don't feel ignored. What a great job!

June's

Molly just loves being close to Dave.
This was a stop on the trip back.

Better go . . . my divas need some attention.

And on 24 August, Nora writes:

I think we have settled on a new name for Weezer/Breezy/Molly.
We have been calling her ROXY (and of course Foxy Roxy,
Roxanne, Roxster . . .). The three divas are napping.

June's

Molly is stretched out in her new home. Isn't she beautiful!

June's

Molly (on the floor) and her new siblings - Khaki (by the window)
& Dollie (by the couch). Notice Molly has already buried a toy in the couch!

Now that I'm home, bathed, settled and fed,
All nicely tucked in my warm new bed.
I'd like to open my baggage
Lest I forget,
There is so much to carry -
So much to regret.

Hmm . . . Yes there it is, right on the top -
Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss,
And there by my leash hide Fear and Shame.
As I look on these things I tried so hard to leave -
I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain.

I loved them, the others, the ones who left me,
But I wasn't good enough - for they didn't want me.
Will you add to my baggage?
Will you help me unpack?
Or will you just look at my things
And take me right back?

Do you have the time to help me unpack?
To put away my baggage,
To never re-pack?
I pray that you do - I'm so tired you see,
But I do come with baggage -
Will you still want me?
