SLIDER FINDS A HOME

Just wanted to share some good news . . . the pictures are of Slider, a lab/chow mix from Noah's Wish. he is one of the dogs I looked after while I was there. He was in the small dog quarantine tent. I'm still not sure why, but I'm glad he was. This is one of the dogs, that for whatever reason, had a very special place in my heart. He is just a puppy (but is very big now compared to when I was with him) but every day he would wait in his cage . . . sometimes 16 hours and never peed or pooped until he was let out for his walk.

He is such a special boy, one I was very upset to leave, so before I left I asked one of the ladies I met to keep an eye on him for me and to make sure he was ok. Well, Terry feel in love with him, and has adopted him . . . hooray!!!

She sent along some pictures that I wanted to share, so we can all see some of the positives that come out of this tragedy as well. Slider (original name unknown) was found abandoned, like so many others, in his house . . . over two months had passed and no one claimed or even inquired about him.

He has now found his forever home, living with three other dogs. He seems as happy as can be. Terry says he seems to be adjusting to his new life just fine. He loves playing with her other dogs, and being free to run and play in their backyard. She is still working on house-training him, and the only thing she notices is that he is very scared to go into new buildings. It usually takes her a few tries for him to want to enter, but after what he has been through I can't blame him. A happy ending for Slider; I hope all the animals get the same!
