While we may all be sitting at home, in comfort, reading about the recent Katrina A-Team experiences by our very own Dixie Chicks & Noah's Wishers, their intimate reports have sent sends chills up my spine.

I would like to thank these brave and generous ladies who have given *the* most precious acts of kindness. Reading about their elongated days, their sleepness nights in unthinkable conditions, etc., is proof positive of their gift, showing enormous courage and perseverance to help the endless arrival of animals in despair.

The written summaries submitted from the field, describing what we have all imagined in our minds, solidifies some of my worst fears. Yet, I also find encouragement, knowing each day more pets are being nurtured back into a semi-state of normalcy. One day at a time.

Dixie Chicks & Noah's Wishers . . . you are my heros. Bless you for your physical and emotional stamina that has carried you to and from a life-altering situation, so profound, it defies adequate words.

Lori's photos speak the unspeakable! My goodness, as awful as my mind had assumed, this is a million times worse. The volunteers are just beyond fantastic.

I cannot fathom the days & months to come with so many pets awaiting the reunion with their families or new forever homes. These photos are just so powerful!

This project is by far one, if not *the* most emotional outcry for help of all times.

I have just finished reading all the reports from the A-Team and even though I'm on the other side of the world, I felt as if I'd been on that roller coaster of emotions along with each of them. They have my utmost respect and admiration for helping all the animals. I could not have done this job even if distance had not been a problem; I think I would have been an emotional incompetent within minutes of my arrival, as I get very upset at the thought of any animal feeling pain or fear and I would have wanted to take them all home.

The A-Team travelled way down south and fed and watered many a mouth they cleaned and walked and walked and cleaned it was far worse than they had dreamed

They took with them all our love
and prayers to our gods above
that they would find that inner strength
to help these pets that had been lost
and cosset those in need the most

Now safely home with friends and family
their stories filled with muck and gore
they gave a week and so much more
they gave us hope that every stray
to a special home will find it way

The Chow that wouldn't walk at all
the Golden Retriever standing tall
the brave little Shi Tzu bald and bare
the Lion Dog that had no hair
the Labs, the Rotties and all the mixes
the Pit Bulls, Hounds and Akitas
and Teddy who went home to Rickie's
