X-Ray of Kekoa's leg

This is the last x-ray taken Saturday. We are heading back to vet today at 2:30 our time and will have pictures for the Kekoa website of what it looks like without its wrappings.
Which is how we will be viewing it from now on as the everyday cleaning will start. All pus and matter will have to be removed daily. and then lightweight shrouds to cover the metal nuts, bolts, wires and winch (tightening bolts).
We have made seven shrouds to cover the leg equipment for the 12-week recovery period. These are made out of muslin to cover the drainage period of time; the jersey material with holes to be used at airing-out periods; and lightweight rip stock with zippers for potty breaks when grass is damp.
I went to the Big Brush Prairie dog show and convinced one of the vendors to sell me pen pee wraps at three for $50 instead of $72. Dr. Flynn doesn't want the dogs in x-pens so the wires don't get entwined. The pee wrap it will solve that problem.
I'm sure it come as no surprise that the second vet has NOT sent the x-rays.
I did call the first vet and ask her a few question and she was very helpful. I needed to know what she saw in the slash on the neck around the ear canal (which is healing and Kekoa is now hearing out of that ear).
It did have a slash in the canal which she cleaned out with the long long cut. She is very sure that it was a boar's canine. By Dr. Flynn's information and the shape of the break, the concurrence is that it was a trap and that it was done in the last four to five weeks prior, not an old break as the second Vet implied.

All his expenses from Hawaii were paid without using any of the general donations. Aire fare is taken care of. We have over $2000 on hand.
I was thrilled to hear how supportive everyone has been of this special dog. He certainly seems to touch the heart.
I have thought of a fundraiser to help raise additional funds.
I have emergency fire decals for windows of the house. They cling to the window, are not sticky, and you write on them how many pets there are in the house. There is a picture of the universal fire dog - a dalmation - on the sticker. Firefighters all know that means there are pets in the house.
I am going to ask my parents to sell some at dog shows over the next couple weeks. I'll make a poster to go with them.
I could mail ten or more packs to those who think they can sell them to their dog or cat friends (ferrets, bunnies, etc...).
The good news is that I have about 500 packages of them so there will be at no cost to us for the actual decals.
THE DECALS AND A LIST OF THOSE WHO HAVE DONATED FOR THEM CAN BE SEEN HERE
