KEKOA'S FOREVER HOME
14 OCTOBER 2007

Kekoa writes:

HI, REMEMBER ME?

I'm Kekoa. This picture makes me look fat but I'm not, honest - it is just the camera. I'm fine and even better then the veterinary doctor had hoped for. My leg is straight and I don't even limp. In fact, I run just nicely, thank you very much, and I do mean that.

I have been working and have a job twice a day as a seeing-eye dog - but for my dog friend Paige . . . you see, she had had several seizures and cannot see on one side and not too well out the other. I have stepped in, much to the family's surprise, and now Paige and I go for long walks. She only walks if I am on her partially-sighted side. She can see me and my reactions to birds, cats & other dogs and places that pee mail may be present.

We are the closest of buds and plan to stay here at the Turner household. I want to thank everybody who saved my leg and made my life happy again - THANK YOU!

EVIE FIESELER:

This is better than I'd ever dared to hope! You can even see Kekoa's tail wagging in the third picture. Thanks so much for following up on this!

That makes it all worthwhile! I am so glad he's happy & healthy & loved.

TONI BONNEY:

What a fantastic story. Cute guy.

MAUREEN SCOTT, LL, MS PIX & PS:

This is such happy news to receive on a dour Monday morning!

(Of course, since Connie is a friend, I had a strong notion that Kekoa had found his forever home with the Turners, especially once I heard that he was helping Paige so greatly . . . .)

Everyone who assisted in whatever way with this very ambitious rescue operation should take a bow!
