As a prank to fool Jim, we set up the blowup Palm Tree from Our Wedding in the front planter, so that when he came to work in the morning, he'd think that's what we planned to put there . . . it fooled him, too!

Dirt was delivered on 27 July, and as I write this, the front planter is already full of lovely rich black dirt, covered with weed barrier fabric, on top of which will be laid several inches of rose gravel. THEN we have to think of what to plant in here!

The dogs' area still needs some thought . . . I prefer that this curve matches the other curves, so that will be changed.

For Our Wedding, my friend Sharon Shelton gave us a gift certificate at Stein's Garden Store for flower baskets. Wanting something less ephemeral to remember her gift by, we bought a Garden Hopper to use next year when we work on all our new planters.
