WE START TO DECORATE . . .

Our first purely-decorative purchase is an arbor for the front, to give the needed height to the planter in the middle section of the house. It is 84" high, 60" wide, and 12" deep. In the summer, we will be able to hang flower baskets from it.

For our wedding, my Aunt Betty in Holland sent us a gift of money to buy something nice - this is one of the items we will purchase. On the internet, it was being sold for $350., on sale for $299. We found it at Menard's for $45; after we bought it, a sale flyer came out advertising it for $32, so we got that money back, too. So all in all, a 90% off sale!

We've begun placing the lights around the yard; the tall ones are out of proportion with the planter, so we will have to rethink their placement. They look great around the front sidewalk, however.
