LEAH GETS HER WHEELS

30 MARCH 2021

Krzytin writes:

This is a cart we already had.
She fits the cart perfectly;
didn't even have to adjust it.
As you can see, she's a pro at it.
Didn't take much convincing
to get her to move. She moves
her tail and back legs
when she's on the cart.

Shell writes:

I can't believe how quickly
she adapted to that cart!
If I didn't know better,
I'd say she had had one before,
but we know that's not the case.

Time for a tummy rub

She's napping now;
we'll go back out for
her 3:30 p.m. vet appointment.

A quick update; just left the vet . . .
they were all smitten with Leah.
They've never seen a doxie
with her hair/color.
Vet wants her to finish Clavamox,
then do urinalysis. When that
comes back negative,
then we will schedule the spay.
They did x-rays of her spine today;
showing a break in her spine,
so she will not be able to walk
on four legs again.

Burger meat with kibbles,
then bedtime for Leah.

8:00 p.m.: She hasn't pooped yet,
but she hasn't had much to eat
until dinner. She went right to sleep
just now as soon as I tucked her in.

Now that all the pups have their bellies full and
Leah is finally resting, I can't let the day end without
saying THANK YOU ALL so much for eveything you've done for Leah.
Each and every one of you will be included in our prayers for always
Ray & I will forever be grateful to all of you for bringing Leah home to us.
She is a blessing and we are honored to have her be part of our family.

As part of our family tradition, we always give our new babies
a new name as a symbol of their new life.
We've decided to call her Dorothy aka: Dot.

Thank you to CairnDaddy, Neal S., for downloading conversations,
videos and pics so I could make this website for Leah.

Thank you to all those who donated to give Leah a new life!

Glad to hear everything went smoothly for little Leah on her travels.
So happy to hear about her accepting the cart so quickly!

Gr

SUZY BARCELOS WINCHESTER:
Oh my . . . not a dry eye on this end. The kindness and outpouring of love and care
towards Leah on her journey has been a miracle to watch.

For you, Andréa, I know it conjured up so many good, but difficult memories in missing Daisy so much.
Seeing the resemblance between Anastasia & SweeTea was yet another eerie experience.
Thank you for pulling this story together. What a journey.
