Porscha phoned tonight to say LF has had a good day today (Wednesday here), though his recovery from the anaesthetic was slow - she was quite concerned that he was very disoriented for at least the next 24 hours. Not surprising, of course.

But he's back to his normal rip-raring bright-eyed mischief today, and even though the wound site is painful, it's not slowing him down. Clearly Little Forrest is not a malingerer!

Porscha will take some photos of Dr. Chris when she visits him again next week.

Dr. Andrews deserves a very special mention; he has been treating & caring for our wildlife for many years and has saved so many lives. He is our much-loved and -admired vet who has attended the opening of the duck shooting season over here for 15 years. Between us all we've saved so many waterbirds thanks to him. He truly is an exceptional vet and very much an inspiration.

On Monday, 23 May, Sue tells us:

I spent two hours with him on Saturday afternoon; Porscha took photos of every conceivable bit of LF using my digi camera (including whiskers, toenails, close-ups of all his boybits and numerous other odd angles & views . . . haven't had time to look through the CD now made of all the LF shots, but it will no doubt be amusing, if not for general publication . . . probably R-rated!

Porscha is taking him to Dr. Chris again this evening; I am hoping to hear from her later tonight. The wound is still weeping and not entirely as good as it should be. There is even some speculation that there still may be yet another foreign body present . . . sigh.

LF himself is great. Other than the wound and ongoing concerns there, he could be pronounced well on the road to full wombathood. But until we get this wretched thing sorted, I cannot say that.
