LOGAN HAS HIS SURGERY 12 JUNE 2017
	Katie writes: Logan's surgery was today and they got all of the stones. His prostate was swollen so they did a biopsy, but the surgeon felt the inflammation was due to the infection. They said that he was up and moving around this afternoon and now he is enjoying his pain meds. I should be able to bring him home tomorrow. This is Abbi, the Vet Tech who took special care of Logan throughout the procedure.
On 13 June, Katie writes: LOGAN'S SURGEON Dr. Jason Wheeler was born and raised in Ft. Myers on Florida's Gulf Coast. He attended Clemson University on a wrestling scholarship and earned his bachelor's degree in biological sciences in 1995.
Returning to his home state, he attended the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 1999. Following veterinary school, Dr. Wheeler did his general rotating internship at Alameda East Veterinary Hospital in Denver, Colorado. Alameda East was the production home for Animal Planet's popular television show, "Emergency Vets". Dr. Wheeler appeared in several episodes of the 2000-2001 season. Following his rotating internship, Dr. Wheeler returned to the University of Florida for a combined Master's degree and residency in small animal surgery. During his residency he won several awards for excellence in clinical research from the University of Florida, the American College of Veterinary Surgeons and the Veterinary Orthopedic Society. In 2004 he was awarded the American Association of Veterinary Clinicians Resident of the Year, a national award among all small animal residents in the United States On 16 June, Katie writes: Logan is doing really well! I sent a picture of his incision site to the vet and he said it looks good. Logan is a very happy dog. When my husband came home for lunch, Logan had stolen Frankie's toy and was running around the house. Logan has exceptional manners! We can't believe how well-behaved he is. He is a very special dog.
