Please welcome new CRUSA foster home, Joe Cleaver, who is now fostering DAKOTA in Chicago.

On 4 December, DAKOTA moved to Don & Lisa Baier. She did fine at K-9 Playtime, but we wanted her in a home and Don really liked her when he transported her previously.

KANE will be moving to Holly Crotty's home on the weekend of 20 November.

London picked Peggy and Sadie picked me. Told Peggy she evidently didn't have a choice in the matter!

So, as an FYI, I have Sadie, who is the sweetest little thing!

Peggy adds:

And London is also the sweetest & neediest of the two. She is constantly at my side and under my feet . . . I think I am going to get a baby sling and just carry her so I don't fall on my face.

I am on my way to the vet to get London x-rayed to see what the status is on her pregnancy. Anyone want to guess when she is due and how many . . . I am just praying it is not eight. Let you know when I return.

A few hours later:
LONDON IS NOT PREGNANT!

THANK GOD!! She is just PLAIN AND SIMPLE FAT. DIET STARTS TODAY!!
AND HOUSETRAINING . . . X-RAY SHOWED NOTHING!!

Do I seem excited . . . yes, I must admit I am, and yet on the other hand, I am sad. Glad for London that she doesn't have to endure another birthing process, etc.; sad I won't be having puppies running around. But the really good news is that there won't be another litter to find homes for.

So she got UTD on her shots and will be spayed immediately, if not sooner.

A few MORE hours later:
SADIE AIN'T PREGNANT, EITHER!

Just got a call from BJ . . . x-ray & ultrasound showed Sadie isn't pregnant either . . .
Whipeeeee! BJ is disappointed, but glad at the same time . . . .
We both have mixed emotions.

Well, since Peggy took London, I thought, okay, I gotta take Sadie. Doc Jim x-rayed, and nuttin', then we got to talking; he said, "Well, at 21 days we can see something on an ultrasound," so he did an ultrasound. Nuttin' there either, except what's supposed to be there. (BTW, there was no charge for the ultrasound, 'cause he was too curious after others had said/thought she was pregnant) He even gave me the x-ray to bring home. Too funny.

To say I was relieved/disappointed was an understatement. I had bought puppy food to feed Sadie and we already had Charlie (Peggy's hubby) make birthing boxes! Well, now they have a really nice-sized doggie bed, don't they, Peggy?

I was looking forward to puppy breath, but we don't need any more babies running around, so Miss Sadie is scheduled for Tuesday morning spay!

So the fake pregnancy adventure is now over for our girls. Thanks, everyone, for donating money to THE LUCKY 13+ and all the other requests we have made and will continue to make.

Happy Thanksgiving, a little early.
