Carlie is a 2-year-old brindle and the "baby of the bunch" in both age & size, as she weighs just shy of 12 pounds.
Sally is a four-year-old adorable wheaten who - at 23 pounds - could "stand to lose a few" as Dr. Tolliver put it. But hey! Most of us could. Sally was named by Foster Mom & mentor Pat Bednarik through our NAME THAT CAIRN! program.
Carla & Sally are going to homes in the Northeast and will be flying out of O'Hare on Monday bound for BWI (Baltimore/Washington International),where Linda Savage will get them.
Joey is the oldest of this group. He is a seven-year-old wheaten and Dr. Tolliver's kennel staff reports that he is "Mr. Attitude". Joey will be going to a new foster home in Chicago where he can strut his stuff, urban style.
Macie is reportedly the friendliest & most socialized of the group; maybe it's because she's so well fed! She's a five-year-old who weighs 22 pounds and will soon be going on a diet. Macie will be fostered by another new foster home in Illinois. New Foster Mom Nancy Fasano is a longtime Scottie owner.
Shannon is five years old and weighs 17 pounds.
Also hitching a ride on this transport are Jack, a nine-month-old owner-surrender from Norman, Oklahoma, who is going into a "foster-to-adopt" home in Chicago . . . and Benji, who has been fostered by Heather Scharbach for the past several months. Benji is going to his Forever Home in Westchester, Illinois where he'll have Gracie, a year-old Kerry Blue Terrier, to keep him company.
Foster Mom Holly Crotty is helping out on this transport. She'll be picking up the dogs at Dr. T's on Sunday morning, then meeting up with Scott & Greg in Springfield, Illinois who will handle the rest of the transport. A big THANKS to Holly, Scott & Greg; let's keep our fingers & paws crossed for better weather.
