Just thought I'd let you know how Mack is doing this first week in Westchester.
He took a trip to the pet store with Gracie and rode in the basket. He was very excited when the cart pulled close enough to the merchandise so he could sniff everything. There were no issues until we got to the checkout line. There was a boxer mix in front of us and Mack decided to make a surprise attack. It was very entertaining to everyone in line.
Mack has been an excellent little traveler and accompanies us to take & pick up Adam at school. We have had practically every teacher from the seventh grade and the principal visit him at the car. He's a regular celebrity!
Today, we took a trip to Grandma's house to celebrate a family birthday. Mack found a nice, cozy corner next to a heat vent to take a very long nap. He met his Aunt Pam for the first time and she instantly volunteered to babysit anytime.
Mack is pooped and Gracie can't understand why anyone would want to rest when there's so much to do!
Gracie & Mack are still trying to figure out who is going to be top dog. It's anyone's call at this point. Gracie is bigger, but Mack can sound quite ferocious! They play a lot of tug-of-war. It can get very noisy.
Mack has lost three teeth this week. The first tooth nearly sent me into a panic as I had been watching them tussle around the living room. They both jumped onto the couch and it was there that I saw some blood on a blanket we keep up there for them to snuggle in. I did my best to check two wiggly terriers for any sign of a scratch or puncture, but found nothing. Then, I noticed Mack licking & rolling his tongue around his mouth. He let me check inside his mouth without any problem and there it was, a dangling tooth. A quick pinch and it was out. Source of blood identified and back to the games!
I think that's about enough excitement for one week. Hope everyone else is doing well.
