Assuming that Shannon (the Dog) never saw snow while in the Missouri puppymill, this snowfall was her first experience with the white stuff!

She was really funny this a.m. . . . wasn't sure what to do! But after about five attempts, we got her off the little porch thing we have into the snow. She started running around a bit, went potty and came to the door to be let in. Second time did the same but rubbed her face in it a few times! Later today we are going to put her leash on her and take her out and see what she does, let her run a bit, etc.
Hey! Are you having hot chocolate with marshmallows in there,
while we're freezin' out here??? LET US IN!!
Oh boy - I think I am falling in love with this little sweetheart. Joe too! Potty training is an ongoing task, but she is doing so well. She does this frisky little dance which is her way of letting me know its time to go! Sometimes, I don't read her right (I think she is trying to play), so we have had one accident in the house. I do take her out every few hours too though. I picked her up and put her on the couch next to me today and she put her little head on my leg and before I knew it she was zzzzzzz! When I got up I took her off so she wouldn't jump and hurt herself. When I sat down she put her paws on the couch . . . she wanted back up again. She is learning fast!
Still not a peep out of her either.
This being my first time fostering, I can't believe how much she has changed in one short week! Isn't it amazing what a gentle touch, and just giving them all the love they deserve to have, does for these puppies? Of course now I want to save them all!

We are doing great. She is coming along so well; such a sweetie she is turning out to be. We let her have free reign of the house last night and she had no accidents, but I was up every time I heard her tags clinking!
She is coming out of her shell. Still doesn't play too much but will attempt it every so often. And she did bark for the first time today, so funny. Sounds like she has a sore throat!! And she literally bounces when shešs outside; I wish we had a bigger place so she could run more but she loves to go from one end to the other - zoom zoom!!
I got her two little stuffed dogs and she is treating them like they are her babies. She takes them from room to room with her (when we go from one room into the next) and doesn't want to leave them, not to go potty, or to play. She isn't the least bit aggressive with us with them, but puts herself between them and Mickey when she thinks he is going near them, but no growling, either.
I am loving just loving her . . . and she is my sweet-pea.
