Joey had a really long, hard day Thursday.
First, the housekeeper arrived for her bi-weekly play date (as defined in dog terms) with him & Kizzie. That takes a lot of energy, lots of jumping, circling around her, panting. Every other Thursday, as soon as she leaves, both he & Kizzie settle in for a long snooze.
But yesterday, there was even more excitement: workers! Right outside "his" window! Lots more jumping & barking & running to catch them whenever they moved.
And then, even more hard work: he had to hike about 60 miles to visit with his soon-to-be forever family. (Since he usually paces about continuously in the back seat when we go anywhere in the car, I think it counts as hiking. Given that he really needs the exercise, I think that is a good thing.)
Then, upon arrival, he had to explore his soon-to-be new digs, jumping up on the bed, on the sofa, etc.
Finally, the ride home. The exhausted Joey did not pace quite so much. Check out how the day affected him.
