I just wanted to let you know we've had a very busy day and Mack's tail has not stopped wagging! He is such a good little dog. He slept through the night without a sound and made no mess whatsoever in his crate. He has been doing his duty outside and even went to the back door tonight to ask to be let out.
Gracie was the AD/HD dog for a good portion of the day today. I think she figured the new puppy was a temporary thing and had to get in as much playtime as possible before he left. By dinner time, they were relaxing side by side and not needing to pester each other any more. Mack has been camped out on the sofa for the past hour and seems to be ready for bedtime. I think everyone will sleep very soundly tonight.
Adam has already been asking if Mack will be joining Gracie & me when we pick him up from school tomorrow. I fear he will have half the school waiting to peek into the car. (He did this when we got Gracie. All of his teachers & the principal came to the car to see the new puppy.)
Mack was excellent in the car today. We made a trip to the vet, which went very well. One healthy boy! He's 11 pounds and he stole the hearts of all the receptionists & the vet tech.
Well, it's bedtime and the kids have had their bedtime snack, so it's now "lights out!"

They almost didn't get Benji . . . my husband & I almost abducted him while we were waiting for Scott & Greg. He was too cute.
I'm anxious to hear an update on how Joey is adapting . . . that guy was so upset in his crate, we had to belt him into the front seat because he kept flipping his crate over. About 1/2 way through the trip, I was sure he was dead . . . on his back with all 4's straight up in the air. I tapped on the crate to make sure he was alive; he picked up his head, squinted his eyes to see what I wanted and then happily went back to sleep. I'm glad they are all settling in!

I really miss the little guy. He was such a bundle of energy and SO very cuddly & loving. Leah, his Airedale buddy, did not eat all day yesterday; I think she missed her little pal.
Kobie, on the other hand, had no problem eating (Mack used to like to pull her beard and she didn't really care for him all that much!). So she ate both her food AND Nancy Ann's . . . .
It is so nice to look at that healthy, well-socialized little boy, in his new home, happy with HIS new boy, and Gracie, the Kerry Blue Gal Pal. Mack was (is) a wonderful dog with a great heart, and it was a gift to foster him for the couple of months he was here.
Another Rescue Success Story, Thanks to CRUSA!
Now that I'm home, bathed, settled and fed,
All nicely tucked in my warm new bed.
I'd like to open my baggage
Lest I forget,
There is so much to carry -
So much to regret.
Hmm . . . Yes there it is, right on the top -
Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss,
And there by my leash hides Fear and Shame.
As I look on these things I tried so hard to leave -
I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain.
I loved them, the others, the ones who left me,
But I wasn't good enough - for they didn't want me.
Will you add to my baggage?
Will you help me unpack?
Or will you just look at my things
And take me right back?
Do you have the time to help me unpack?
To put away my baggage,
To never re-pack?
I pray that you do - I'm so tired you see,
But I do come with baggage -
Will you still want me?
