Ruby meets Dorothy
First-time Foster Mom Yolunda, of Peoria, Illinois with Elizabeth. Yolunda was so excited to meet Elizabeth, she had tears in her eyes.
We heard tonight that Elizabeth is already running the steps to the second story, not making messes in her crate, and sleeping through the night without a sound.
Yolunda is in love! She just may flunk Fostering 101 within the first 24 hours . . . .
Millie barked the first half hour of the trip home, and clawed the crate. Once I moved her to where she could see me and I could reach her, she stopped. Have not heard a bark since then.
Kim, our daughter, bonding with Millie. Actually Kim was the only one Millie would let hold her the first night home. This little girl is REALLY timid; her miserable existence shows. I've never seen a dog go rigid like she does when you first pick her up. We have a lot of work to do with this one but are up to the challenge. Hopefully our Mollie (f/k/a Little Bits), whom we adopted from the LUCKY 13 + 1 Rescue Mission will be a good influence on her.
