Elizabeth sitting on the back porch area
after Gayle & Bob left.

Rick's update on 28 April:

Thanks again for everything. We enjoyed getting to know you & Bob and were glad you brought Mollie along, too. Elizabeth is doing exceptionally well, we think, and the progress you made with her during the eight weeks she was in your home is obvious.

She has had several playful romps with Mabel in the back yard, ran after a squirrel and actually barked once in the process, and yesterday afternoon she even curled up with Cindy and the other two dogs on the sofa for awhile. Then she snuggled up alone with me while I took a late afternoon nap. Came to me totally of her own accord, by the way, which I took as a wonderful sign.

She slept through the night quite well and I took her out (without the other two) for a long walk this morning around 6:30 a.m. She actually did better on the leash than I thought she would and later today we will try to take all three dogs together and see how they all do.

No accidents in the house so far and she pooped on her walk this morning. When we got back, she ate FIVE IAMS cookies and then drank water so I let her out in the back yard and she wetted again. Now she's sleeping peacefully on the back of our love seat in the living room. I guess our walk tired her out a bit.

She really is a sweetheart and she has even given me a couple of nose licks already. (I can't even get Mabel to do that very often.)

So far so good, in other words.

Hope your house doesn't seem too empty. If it does, I imagine you will be taking in another Foster soon.

Again, thanks for the great work you do.
