BETSY IS GROOMED! OCTOBER 2008

On 30 October, Rick writes: Thought you might enjoy seeing some updated photos of Betsy. She is really thriving here and we are very happy to have her as a member of our family. She gets along quite well with the other two dogs and knows her place in the "pack", but is always first in line for her cookie when they come in from their walks and/or outings in our back yard. She also discovered her "voice" early on and is now the loudest barker of the bunch whenever an alert needs to be sounded. She still can't distinguish when the doorbell is a TV sound effect and not our front door, but we are working on that. She went through a chewing period for a while, but seems to be over that now and didn't really damage anything of value except perhaps a couple pairs of Cindy's slippers, which were left where she could get them. She is now mostly content to chew on the toys that we have provided for her benefit. We actually enjoy this since the older dogs seem to have pretty much lost interest in toys. We had all three dogs professionally groomed last week and these photos show Betsy with her most recent haircut. She was actually the best-behaved of the three during the ordeal.
