Zoey had a wonderful evening with the Cochrane family and slept in their bed. THAT DID IT! I had a call at 7:30 this a.m. to let me know that (a) Zoey had been dropped at the vet's office for her spay; and (b) Zoey had found her forever home.
The Cochrane's have a large Victorian home near me,with a big front porch that is screened in; if Zoey happens to bolt out the door, she will have another barrier to get through.
Eli, their greyhound, is a beautiful brindle boy; very sweet & calm. He & Zoey inspected each other and seemed to get along just fine, although Zoey was more interested in exploring the house and going through Eli's toy box.
The Cochrane's have two teenage girls.
This morning, Joan walked both dogs on a single leash (with a coupler at the end that holds two smaller leashes) and the dogs walked great together.
Joan is going to pick Zoey up from Gateway Vet Clinic this evening and take her home. Timing is good because she'll have the weekend with them and the girls.
Thanks so much to Katie for giving Zoey her second chance at a great life.
Fostering is such sweet sorrow . . .
You were an excellent FosterGirl;
