I renamed Polly; her new name is Zoe and she is already responding to it. She's a very smart dog! She has been absolutely great since I brought her home. She & Kelsie are getting along well, too. They have been playing together and Kelsie has been suprisingly tolerant of the puppy-ness (biting, yapping, stalking, etc.).
Zoe & Kelsie go online . . .
Zoe did get carsick on the way back to Madison; she threw up three times. I also took her someplace yesterday and she was fine until I drove into the garage - of course that's when she got sick. Oh well.
Things are going pretty well with pottying; we've had a few accidents in the house, but that was my fault as I didn't pick up on her cues that she needed to go outside.'She has been going for walks with Kelsie & me . . . Kelsie has been walking extra fast (I think maybe she is trying to ditch Zoe), but Zoe keeps right up with her. It's funny to watch.
I haven't left her alone too much so far because I took this week off work to acclimate her. She sleeps in her "house" (I bought a kennel crate for her; I use it in the car, too) all night without a sound. She does get anxious and whines when I leave her in her "house" and go to a different room where she cannot see me. However, if she can see Kelsie, she seems calmer.
Tomorrow is meet-the-vet day. My vet likes to spend an hour with new patients to really give them the once-over. I'm sure we will discuss when to have her spayed.
. . . to thank CRUSA
All in all, Zoe & Kelsie & I are doing well with the adjustment. She is definitely a bundle of energy, getting into everything. Hard to take any photos when she is just a blur and won't sit still! I feel very lucky to have her here - thank you for choosing me to give her a good home, which I promise to do.
