Petey is at home with us now. He has settled in and won our hearts as well as our neighbors'. He is adorable, affectionate, feisty. We hope you aren't too disappointed to learn we have renamed him Merlin. Merlin was the father
of our much-loved late Cairn, Arthur (who was named by our son when he was five - he's now in college).
Thank you, Pam, for your care of him before he came to us. And thank you for what you sent along with him. You were right about him not liking his medicine. What did you hide the pill in? Arthur liked a bit of cheese around his. Merlin doesn't.
He peed or pooped every time we took him out today;
he's so well on his way to being trained. Thank you for that, too.
We feel so fortunate to have been given a puppy to raise. And we thank all of you, Cairn Rescue USA, who have made it possible. I look forward to joining you in your work in the future.
