FuzzyFace's bag is packed . . .

. . . now he's just awaitin' the train to his Forever Home.

There' s water to mix with his new water; food to mix with his new food; Cari & Rico have given a few of the toys he seems to be particularly fond of; some new toys; photo CD with over 100 pictures; binder with medical records and my seven-page evaluation . . . some pictures . . . and last but not least - a piece of my heart.

On Tuesday, 4 April 2006 at 9:00 a.m., Maxi left on the train to his Forever Home. I wonder what April, Cari & Rico think I did with him . . . and if they're next to go! The house is very quiet . . .

Now that I'm home, bathed, settled and fed,
All nicely tucked in my warm new bed.
I'd like to open my baggage
Lest I forget,
There is so much to carry -
So much to regret.

Hmm . . . Yes there it is, right on the top -
Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss,
And there by my leash hides Fear and Shame.
As I look on these things I tried so hard to leave -
I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain.

I loved them, the others, the ones who left me,
But I wasn't good enough - for they didn't want me.
Will you add to my baggage?
Will you help me unpack?
Or will you just look at my things
And take me right back?

Do you have the time to help me unpack?
To put away my baggage,
To never re-pack?
I pray that you do - I'm so tired you see,
But I do come with baggage -
Will you still want me?

Special Thanks to:
€ VetteMan, for realizing the red "lump" on Maxi's head
was actually a piece of gum, and cut it off at NO CHARGE
(maybe we should change his name to VetMan?)
€ April, Cari & Rico, for their patience
with yet another HousePest
€ Bob Anderson, for visiting Maxi and giving him tummy rubs
€ Shell Lewis, Toni Bonney & Liana Gramza of CRUSA,
for rescuing & caring for this little man.
