"I gotta get on the 'puter to tell everyone at CRUSA . . .

. . . that I'm gonna be fostered right here . . .

. . . 'til we find my Forever Home!
(and maybe by then I'll figure out how to get to those stuffed dogs)"

Who needs a heating pad or warming blanket when the sun is available?

Cari's idea of "sharing":
SHE gets the warming blanket; HE gets the newspapers.
NOT a nice way to treat one's housepest.

SATURDAY, 18 FEBRUARY

Today I found myself in the Baby Supply aisle of the local drug store. No, I'm not having one.

Why then was I in my least-favorite, to-be-avoided-at-all-costs part of the store? To help a dog, of course.

Maxi (fka Tag) had such flea infestation that he had to be shaven down, prior to being rescued by CRUSA . . . so you can imagine the severe dandruff and itchies he has. Baking Soda baths have helped with the itchies, but I wanted to stimulate his skin to get rid of the dandruff and encourage the healing.

A regular dog brush? I don't THINK so . . . not when there's so little haire you can the skin color. A human's haire brush? Ditto.

A baby's haire brush! I thought. Nice and soft.

So I bought him a baby's brush - in blue, of course - and gave the little guy the most thorough brushing he's probably ever had . . . pieces of dandruff flew off from back, legs, feet (!) & ears . . . and he loved it. His haire is even starting to look a little shiny.

Only for a dog would I have gone in the Baby Supply aisle. Hope no one I know saw me there - they'd think I was going soft-headed or -hearted in my retirement years.
