If I may digress here for a moment . . . When my parents and I
came to the US in 1954, we lived on the Erie Canal in Pittsford, NY.
A brother of my paternal grandfather had moved to the US previously,
and sponsored us to join him. I have no idea what the address was,
and the picture I show here has a boathouse; I didn't see any
boathouses on our trip; perhaps they were banned at some time,
or we just didn't go down this part of the Canal . . .
