My Samsung watch has decided to side with Richard.
It sends me messages like, "A little walk would be good.
Or even a 10-minute walk would be helpful."
LOL . . . I have made lunch; emptied the dishwasher;
filled the clothes washer and transferred the washing to the dryer;
refilled the washer. Walked round the garden in 51mph wind
to retrieve the outside tap cover; we're expecting -4C [24.8F] tonight.
Richard's contribution was that we could sit outside and
have an ice cream, or I could tidy the sun room and we could sit in there.
Tomorrow all the mobility aids I was given on loan from the NHS
will be collected; perhaps they should have been called
non-mobility aids [or mobility non-aids --ad].
Too much info perhaps, but . . . I was given a toilet riser.
It increases the height of the toilet by 12 inches,
for wheelchair users to transfer or for people with limited knee bend.
I removed it today ready to be collected.
It was a huge surprise to my knee and bottom when,
after eight weeks at one height, I had to drop another 12 inches.

Wow, that is some AMAZEBALLS of moving around, Jac;
good for you! No, I don't find "I was given a toilet riser"
TMI at all, It's just a part of your life right now and,
thankfully, a temporary one at that.
I can just imagine the sudden shock and hopefully not much
or just a little pain incurred in your knee having to bend more
when you first sat down without the riser after having gotten
used to its height. These are more signs of progress, so it's all good.

I took my car out today for a short drive to the shops.
Getting in and out is uncomfortable because my knee doesn't
bend too well. Fastening the seat belt is uncomfortable
because my wrist doesn't bend, But driving was fine;
I have an electronic handbrake and automatic car.
I pick Lily up next Sunday and bring her home.
Ann and Mike both agree with me that pushing the boundaries
a bit each day is better than sitting about thinking about what I can't do.

Another milestone conquered albeit with some restrictions,
but regardless, you successfully did it!
Must've felt pretty liberating despite a few physical limitations!
I'll bet you're really looking forward to
having your sweet Lily gurl back home with you
for good again, too.Very happy for you!
