Had my check up today.

Got my stitches out;
the incisions are healing well.
I have a nice new leg brace
that is much more
challenging and all the
padding off my arm
and a new brace for it.

They showed me the x-rays. Both breaks are identical -
diagonally across the bone just below the bit where it
widens out to form the joint. I have a 2- and 3-inch plate
screwed into the long bone, then lots of wire wrapped round it.
Looks like the Eiffel Tower in there.

That's GREAT news, Jac! That leg looks like it's definitely gone down in size quite a bit from how swollen & bruised it was when all those pads & braces were first affixed.

Bet you're glad to get all the padding off your arm, too! Really glad to hear that your healing is coming along well. How's your pain level doing?

I'm doing well; every day I feel a bit stronger.

Ann brought Lily over to see me last night.
I was a bit shocked; 20 days since I last saw her and
she wouldn't come near me. She sat on Ann's knee,
growled at Suzi if she went near Ann.

She did after an hour come over and sniff my hand,
refused her favourite treat and was a bit too happy to get her lead on
and go home with Ann.

I've said to Ann she needs to come for more visits.
I'd originally thought no visits so Lily wouldn't get confused,
but I do want her home with me ASAP. It can't happen
till I can clear the door threshold and the step into the back garden
which might be end of February.

On a brighter note, I received two cards today to cheer me up;
One from Jackie Ike and one from Elizabeth Walters . . .
would you pass on my thanks.

JACKIE IKE:
Very happy she is doing better
and glad she got the card.
I hope Lily will come back
around and want to be at home
instead of her brother's home.
Time will tell and I'm sure
adjustments will be made.
