Well, it's nearly here. Hamish went off to his holiday camp today.
I was a bit sad to leave the wee hairy beast,
but I know he will be loved and cared for in the breeder's home.
The other three go off to the kennels tomorrow;
I know they will be well looked after so I'm happy to leave them.
We are traveling down to Heathrow on the Sunday night
and staying in the same hotel I stayed at in July [see HERE].
We fly at 16.20 on the Monday and arrive in Toronto at 19.45,
where we will pick up the hired car (Chrysler 200 sedan,
which means nothing to me except it won't look like a pickup truck).
We will stay overnight in a hotel in Toronto.
On the Tuesday, 2 September, Mike will drive me up to meet Mare Moore.
He will come back and get me on the Friday, 5 September
lunchtime-ish so we can be in Niagara before dinner.
Then on the Saturday, it's the next stage of my big adventure:
the Amtrak all the way to Rochester, NY.
I'm looking forward to the train trip. It will a bit different.
I hope I get to go upstairs on the train.
