WATCH OUT, AMERICA!
HERE COMES JACKIE!

12 JULY 2014

I had a nice sleep.
Well, almost . . . a busload of people from opposite Dover arrived.
OMG, they were so loud I'm surprised
I'm not fluent in their language now.
The bed was really comfy so I got over the noisy outbursts
and drifted off to sleep.

It wasn't till I awoke at 7.00 a.m. and
went to jump out of bed that I realised how high it was.
I really did have to jump and I don't like heights.

I can't face breakfast at this time of day . . .

McGUINNESS

. . . so a coffee and a croissant were perfect.

I could get the bus over to the terminal or the pod.

McGUINNESS

I decided to take the pod, a driver-less car.
Join me in the future . . .

McGUINNESS

My hotel . . .

McGUINNESS

Three planes in less time than it took me to aim the camera.

McGUINNESS

I went for a walk, checked that the car was ok,
and came back to reception to book the pod.
It was mayhem, with two busloads checking out, pushing, shoving.
The pod was definitely the right choice.

An observation:

I now understand this glued-to-the-smartphone concept.
Here I am surrounded by people and yet completely alone.
But with my trusty phone I am still connected to all my friends.
And I can take pics of departing planes and delete them
again and again till I get the perfect shot. It passes the time.
It is scorching hot here today.

McGUINNESS

Did I mention I was close to the airport

McGUINNESS

McGUINNESS

STILL ON HER WAY . . . HERE
