The POD:
I loved it; a short walk from the hotel and into the station.
Touch screen to choose terminal, the doors open
and you are welcomed aboard.
The voice tells you to press the button to close the doors when you are ready.
Next you are told to press the START button.
The voice announces that we will be starting.
Nothing happens.
I look round wondering if I should press another button;
the voice says, "We will be starting any time now."
It makes laugh out loud. Four moments later,
it tells me we are almost there and shows a wee video
of how to get to the check-in desk. I love it.
The AIREPORT:
I got my case checked in and through security without a delay.
I did spend some time in duty-free as you do
and treated myself to some nice perfume.
I've had some lunch and am now relaxing,
waiting to be called forward for the flight.
Isn't it always the way.
Now I remember what I forgot to pack:
My belt for my jeans and body wash.
Just as well I have a few hours to spend shopping stateside
before heading for the ranch.
The LOUNGE . . .
Two hours to go, so I thought I'd have a cheeky glass of wine . . .
. . . for medicinal purposes of course. Chablis; very nice;
might try another one later.
