Good morning; yes, it's 6.18 now.
And I've seen every hour on the clock since midnight.
People arguing in the car park; the air conditioning , , ,
so much noise; I live in a very quiet place.
I will probably sleep well tonight.
I was picked up at midday
for a two-hour drive to Fort Collins, hang a right,
drive to the Middle of Nowhere and you have arrived.
I did get to see a stunning sunrise though.
Last night I couldn't work out how to get the plug out of the bath.
This morning I realised that it is a flip-over, not a lift-out.
It took a while to get the shower to cut off the supply to the tap,
so I kept switching it off and trying again.
Then I thought, "I'll just have a bath,"
and the shower started working.
It was a good power shower once it started.
I've had breakfast -
a waffle made by my own fair hand and a coffee.
And I spoke to a person who wasn't taking food or drink orders.
She owns a ranch in south Denver and gave me some tips on riding.
She was an English teacher, so I gave her a copy of my book.
I never miss a chance to promote it
and the charities listed on the back page.
I brought three copies with me.

THE LAST BIT OF THE JOURNEY
I'm really in the middle of nowhere;
two hours to the nearest town.
This is my home for the week.
It smells of wood; a bit like a German sauna,
but that is a nice relaxing smell.
