The noise level reduced to murmuring
and the head wrangler said we could head for home and lunch.
I rode Felix back to the yard up to the big mounting platform
and got off him by myself. That was my big achievement today.
Well, that and getting close to cows.

The afternoon games were canceled;
a big storm was expected by 3.00 and it arrived on time.
ONCE A DOG RESCUER, ALWAYS A DOG RESCUER . . .
One of the guests had been in town and on the way back
to the ranch came across two boxers - a white and a brindle -
abandoned by the roadside.
She called Darcy, the ranch owner and brought them back
to a warm dry bed and a meal.
She is going to see if there is a rescue that will take them.
