I just had this thought, now that it's all booked and paid:
I leave on horseback at 7:30 after breakfast for a day herding cattle, etc.;
up to six hours in the saddle. Lunch might be a picnic
or a sandwich on the hoof. Hmmm . . . there are no rest rooms in the grasslands;
there were no bushes in the pictures either.
One does not do certain things in public.
It's going to be a long day.
Now I know why English ladies rode sidesaddle . . .
much easier to cross one's legs!
Here is a map of where I'll be . . .
I will be staying one night in Denver, so if anyone is local,
please stop by for a coffe and a chat.
I thought I should take out my western gear:
dress jeans for the rodeo and dance/dress boots and hat . . .
. . . don't know which to use, so I'm taking them up to the riding school next week for advice.
7 May:
Well, I made another decision today.
The holiday booklet advised to take several pair of cheap sunglasses
in case one pair gets lost or damaged by sand.
I have decided to take disposable contact lenses
for day wear and my glasses for evenings.
I will probably continue with my contacts for dancing classes when I come back;
it's easier not to have the glasses fly off with centrifugal force
as I'm spun hither and thither.
Also some of the dips and drops might be better without specs.
