On 22 February, Jackie writes:
Tom decided we would have a holiday this year.
We are going to spend one week down on the farm.
It should be quite nice there in mid-June,
and lots to do in the local area.
I asked,
Like slopping pigs, feeding chickens, planting crops??
THAT's a vacation????
Are these Cornish hens?
Jackie replies:
Hahahaha. I might cook a few eggs for breakfast,
but that will be as close as I get to a live chicken.
I hope to be able to have a swim & Jacuzzi every morning
while Tom is getting up, then off to the Eden Centre
or a quaint little village for the day.
I told Renor (the carer coming with us) that he has to
cook dinner alternate nights and we will eat out on my nights.
Here's a farm like you've never imagined a farm . . .
Bocaddon Farm
There is a festival of arts on the week we will be there,
with crafts, folk music, food and folk dance.
Mind you, I'm not keen on Morris dancing,
[which is defined HERE and can be seen HERE],
but lunch in the pub will be nice.
Daphne Du Maurier wrote almost all her novels here
I would like to visit Daphne du Maurier's House
[which they could even buy HERE]
and that area as well;
I will have to take one of her books
to read on holiday. I loved the film Rebecca.
Then there's lunch at the
Legendary JAMAICA INN,
Cornwall's Most Famous
Smuggling Inn, HERE;
the EDEN PROJECT's geodesic domes,
where you can see how chocolate is grown;
I hope they have some samples to try HERE;
and Tom will want to go to TINTAGEL CASTLE,
as King Arthur & his knights
are his heroes,
HERE and HERE.
There are fishing villages to visit, seen HERE
and places to eat, seen HERE.
On 10 March, Jackie continues:
I was listening on the radio last week to an interview with Judy Finnigan [available HERE].
I have been trying to contact her or her husband about my book
because WH Smiths stocks all their book club recommendations.
She mentions a hotel in Cornwall and guess what?
It's seven miles from where we will be on holiday.
I will be leaving a copy of my book there for her attention.
Tom will be told we are just visiting
this pretty little bay, TALLAND BAY BEACH.
WHICH MAKES THIS AN EXCELLENT
PLACE FOR A COMMERCIAL . . .

Just where in the United Kingdom is Cornwall?
As Jackie & Tom live in Cambridgeshire . . .
. . . it'll be a seven-hour
cross-country jaunt for them.
Of course, as Jackie & Tom's CyberFriends,
we are all invited along on their HOLIDAY IN CORNWALL.
On 15 May, Jackie writes:
It might be a ski ing holiday at this rate . . .
. . . click on the picture to see WHY!
(It's only four weeks to my holiday in Cornwall!).
