Tom decided he had to eat before we went into the domes, so we headed into the food hall; it was very noisy and reminded me of school dinners and smelt of burnt milk because lasagne was the dish of the day. I had coffee & carrot cake; Tom & Renor had CREAM TEAS. Renor asked what kind of butter he'd been given; I explained it was clotted cream. Does Tesco sell it? was his response. I think he liked it. FOOD HALL ROOF: Covered in grass, but the cows are made of wood . . . . . . as real ones produce too much methane and are bad for the ozone layer.
