This was walking up from where our ship was docked at Civitavecchia. It took us about 40 minutes, as the buses weren't adapted to take Tom's wheelchair. We'd been strolling along past one or two other cruise ships and turned round to see how far we'd walked and that's what was behind us.
It wasn't our ship; I think it was called WIND SURFER.

She sailed before we did. You can tell it's the same boat 'cause
the funnel looks like a whale's tail (fluke) as it dives in the water.

From here everyone went off on a two-hour coach trip to Rome.
We decided to explore Civitavecchia instead and had a pleasant stroll.

I had intended to buy postcards here, but I saw this big poster for a dog charity and on it, an Airedale mix. I know everyone would have agreed that this was a better recipient for my postcard euros than the card shop, so that's where they went, I found a pet shop and a collection tin. It's just as well we'd already had lunch.
