Mike & Tom are wearing Mackenzie tartan,
which is Tom's regimental tartan and was
always worn as trews because
he was in a lowland regiment. Mike decided to have
a kilt made in the same tartan so the wedding party
would all be dressed the same.

Tom can also wear the Erskine tartan (red tartan)
that was the pipe band's (who wore kilts) tartan;
his own tartan is Armstrong;
ours [Jackie & Mike's] is Stewart or Campbell.

These were taken after champagne and canapés
at the stern of the ship on the promenade deck.
If you walk three times round this deck,
you will have walked a mile;
we walked several miles on the 12th.

Another happy couple

Actually, I hated my hair. I had it done on the ship
and I felt she made me look like Katie Boyle
(1960's tv presenter). Mind you, she hauled &
mauled my hair so much I'm surprised I had any left;
how the little old ladies managed is beyond my imagination.
I now know how the Wild Bunch feels when I hand strip
them. She took so long I didn't have enough time
left to redo it.
