My day started out EARLY.
My sister wanted me to go shopping with her, so I was up at 6 a.m.
I had someone coming around 11:30 to see Sadie & Lacey,
so I had to be back home by then. It was snowing & cold.

Alex & Anya
After that family left, I put all my kids up, and off I went.
Not sure of how the roads were up in Northern Kentucky,
so I left early. The roads were clear, so I arrived about 45 minutes early.
Since we were meeting at Frisch's and I arrived so early,
I went inside for a piece of hot fudge cake. Was I bad!
Alex & Jesse
April called and said, "I see your car." I moved my Kia next to hers.
She was standing outside waiting for me,
holding Alex in her arms, crying. I invited her inside my car
since some wino stopped by to compliment me on a decal on the Kia
and then promptly asked for beer money for him & his pals.
We started talking and another guy came up asking for a quarter;
I immediately locked the doors since I hadn't done it earlier.
Good Lord, we are in begging country!
Anyway, I digress, April was crying & saying she didn't
want to give him up, but felt she had to.
Their Newfoundland died three weeks ago;
they drove over 2-1/2 hours to get Alex.
Once they got him, her hours changed
and she began working eight hours.
Even though she works from home,
she has to have complete silence while on the phone.
She asked me if there was any way she could keep him.
I asked her a lot of questions and her answers were on target.
It boiled down to no, she couldn't,
and after about 45 minutes of talking,
she gave Alex a kiss and me a hug.
She thanked me for being so kind and not judging
her for not being able to keep him.
(I was really wishing she would give me gas money.)
On the way home, Baby Alex was in his crate playing away,
growling & barking. He took a nap and I was listening to
a new CD and just singing away. My phone rang and I had to
turn the volume down; then I turned it up and started singing
LOUD again and boy it must have scared him 'cause he
jumped & barked, like, "What the heck?"
I told him I was sorry for being so loud and to go back to sleep.
He played & played.
I finally got home, let him outside and he played around,
I fed him and later let him out again.
I introduced him to Anya, Jesse, Bonnie & Scrappy.
He & Anya played & played. Jesse played too.
Alex is really a handful and l absolutely love this little stinker.
He doesn't really know his name, so I call him Baby Alex.
He follows me everywhere and I have almost fallen
'cause he is so quick.
