Two sweeties, lyin' in the sun, waitin' for Pops . . .
(And no, I'm not the one moving the bed into the sun)
And then it began to snow . . . and snow . . . and snow . . . 1 February:
Somewhere under there is our front sidewalk
2 February:
Somewhere under there is our deck
Digging out an area for the dogs on the upper deck, several times
Neal's new car, 2014 Hyundai Veloster Turbo, isn't going ANYwhere!
Neither was I, as we weren't dug out til late in the day
Only a few hours before, this driveway was completely cleared of snow.
There were 35mph winds.
Good thing the dogs can' get in the back yard,
or they'd be able to climb over the fence.
This was the only birdbath I could get to, and for several days,
I could only feed the birds from the railing. Luckily,
I'd filled all eight feeders when I learned there was a storm coming.
The deck and the dogs' potty area
(which is still under more than a foot of snow a week later)
Can't go out those doors, either
Somedogs don't look too happy.
Daisy2Legs, however, did escape and plow through the snow.
I thought I'd try making a path with my new electric shovel.
First thing I did was have it backwards, so when I turned it on,
I sprayed snow INSIDE the garage.
The total snowfall was over 15" because of the "Lake Effect"
(Lake Michigan gets credited or blamed for all our weather).
Once I got to this point, I thought . . . Why? And I put my electric shovel away.
I am SO anxious to see what these five do when they see
the beach and the ocean in Florida, and their new home!
NO SNOW THERE, KIDS!
