JETTIA LIKED PET EXPO! 21 MARCH 2011

Jettia & Michelle Michelle Janus writes: The Pet Expo was all Jettia needed. I was a bit hesitant about bring her to the Expo, but when Shell said she had the portable x-pen and knowing that Jettia loved to be around other Cairns, my mind was made up - she was going. Knowing she would be getting a lot of exposure; I wanted her to look her best, so I pulled out the grooming kit, plugged in the clippers and away she ran. Realizing that wasn't going to work and determined to make her beautiful, I got the shears and began cutting away, and beautiful she was. We packed up the car, the dogs and off we went. While there she seemed to be happy, so I went walking around. When I came back, she was in the arms of "Dorothy" (Colleen Swartz), who told me that she wouldn't walk; Jeff & I took her out. She enjoyed seeing all the other dogs. When we brought her back, instead of putting her back in the crate, she went from lap to lap to lap. Before we left, Shell shot an interview video and a few pics, then home we went. The change in this little girl is remarkable. Jeff called her to come by him; after a few tries, she slowly made it to his hand, gave him a sniff, licked his hand and quick ran back to the couch. Today, every time I left the room, she came looking for me. So I got a few treats while she was in the living room and I called her from the kitchen. She ran back & forth a few times, then came all the way to the kitchen. This went on a few more times (and thrilled me to death). I joined her in the living room and gave her what I had left. Well, later both dog swent out to potty; when Jeff opened the door, they both come dashing in. Normally Gizmo will run in and jump on my lap, but instead, Jettia beat him to it. She now remains lying here with her head on my lap. She is really coming out and starting to be more comfortable around us. Who'd'a thought. And I almost didn't want to bring her.
